LOCATION: Kjojlija industrial zone, Macedonia

YEAR: 2014

PROGRAM: Factory for production of polyethylene water supply pipes.

SITE: An industrial zone in developement, located near the Skopje Airport.

SOLUTION: The site layout is determined by the limited plot size and the requirements of the production technology. The auxiliary services-check-in, parking lot and the heat production plant are located in the western margin of the plot. Two separate loading bays, one for the unprocessed material, and the other for the finished products are located along the longitudinal sides of the production hall. The sheared floor plan provides a clear distinction between the production hall and the offices, while the rounded edges and the corrugated finishes are inspired by the shape of the pipes that are to be produced in the factory.
